Mangaluru, Dec 11: Time tables of both the second PU and JEE main examinations have been published. Strangely, the dates of these examinations overlap with each other.
Before making the timetable public, the department of PU education had sought whether exams can be held on these dates. It had received the feedback that no other exam dates clash with the PU exams. Thereafter the department prepared time table for this examination planned between January 9 and 24 and the time table was sent to all the PU colleges. Thereafter, the JEE main examination time table was published. It will be held from January 6 and 11. In the case of a few exams, the dates clash with each other.

The department has made some modifications this time. As per the new system, examinations are held in all colleges concurrently as per the time table. Last year, those students who appeared for JEE were allowed to appear for preparatory examination but this time it will not be possible as question papers are uniform for the entire state and colleges are not authorized to prepare their own question papers.
Several colleges have brought this to the notice of the department. Director of PU education department, Kanagavalli, said that the issue has come to the department's notice, and that remedial measures would be undertaken within two to three days.

Wed, Dec 11 2019No need to panic. NTA (National Testing Agency) is also conducting JEE main exams in April (3rd to 9th April). Students can sit for both the exams and opt for best of 2 (IE Jan as well as April). Anyway, all the best to the aspiring students.

Wed, Dec 11 2019This type of overlapping has happened a many times in the past in other state boards. Since, JEE exam is held throughout the country, the respective boards have changed the dates. and so will be with Karnataka.
