B'lore: 'Scandals not Discussed Because of Clandestine Deal Between Congress, BJP' - Kumaraswami

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Sep 21: Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswami alleged that detailed discussions on various scandals with which the present government is involved, could not be held at the just-concluded assembly session, because of a clandestine understanding between the Congress Party and the BJP. He was speaking to reporters at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Sunday September 20.

Just before taking part in the state level conference of Korama and Koracha communities here, he said that his party, JDS, had made preparations to haul the government over coal, relating to various scandals. But the Congress Party did not extend support to the efforts of the JDS, he lamented.

"This has given a clear indication of a possible internal understanding between the Congress Party and the BJP. During the six-day session of the assembly, only the second rung leaders of the Congress Party raised their voices. The leaders of the Congress Party have been talking of an understanding reached by their frontline leaders with the BJP," he added.

He alleged that the money set aside for Organic Agricultural Mission implementation had been diverted to the Sangh Parivar activities. He said that this was a large-scale scam that requires to be investigated immediately. Kumaraswami added that he had told the Chief Minister earlier, that setting up of an exclusive mission for the purpose was not necessary, but Yeddyurappa had remained mum.
