Bantwal: Two killed, another serious in collision between two-wheelers

Bantwal, Jan 15: A scooter and a motor bike collided with each other head-on at a road bend near Kodaje on Mani-Mysuru state highway on Tuesday, January 14. Two persons were killed in this accident, while another suffered serious injuries.

Pareekshit (19) from Baranikere in Mani, who was riding the motorbike, and Azmal (21) from Kalladka Golthamajalu, who was riding the scooter, lost their lives. Padmanabha (30) from Mani suffered grievous injuries.

The injured was provided first aid by Pradeep, emergency medical technician of 108 ambulance from Mani, and pilot, Kalasanagouda, before Padmanabha was shifted to a private hospital at Mangaluru.

The scooter rider was moving towards Kodaje whereas two persons seated on the bike were reportedly going towards Mani. The accident is said to have happened after a street dog suddenly crossed the path of the two-wheelers.

Vittal police visited the spot, registered a case, and began investigation.
