Three Murders in 24 hours in Bangalore


Bangalore:Oct 16 (DHNS): Three murders were reported in the City during the last 24 hours on Thursday. 

A 23-year-old aspiring film actor and budding politician who was all set to contest for the upcoming BBMP elections was hacked to death on 14th Cross, Rajgopalnagar on Wednesday night.

The victim, Chetan, son of an industrialist and a resident of Rajagopalnagar was hacked to death by a rival gang.

 While the cops rule out murder for gain and are working on a love angle, the victim’s family and friends say it is a political rivalry.
"Chetan was working hard and had won the hearts of many; he was all set to contest for the corporation elections from IP Nagar. Some miscreants who were jealous and scared of his popularity have eliminated him," said a relative of Chetan.

PUC drop out

Chetan was a PUC dropout and his father was a successful businessman who had many industries in Peenya. He dreamt of becoming a hero in a Kannada movie, everything was finalised and the shooting was to start from next month, he added.

The police said, around 10.30 pm, Chetan got a call on his mobile and he left home in his car. His body with multiple injuries on chest, hands and head was found under a tree behind a darshini hotel on 14th Cross, Rajagopalnagar.
Morning walkers who noticed the body alerted the police. His vehicle was also parked near the crime spot.

Rowdy sheeter murdered

In another incident of the same nature, a rowdy sheeter Zabi (35), brother of Nasru who was killed in police encounter was attacked in front of his family and killed by a rival gang near his Subhash Nagar residence in Electronic City.
The police said, Zabi who came out of jail, four years back was running a bangle shop in the area.

On the ill-fated day, around 10.30 pm, a known person called him out of the house and within minutes, he came back bleeding with multiple stab injuries.

The gang didn't spare his family and even attacked his mother Aktarunnisa and sister Nasreen Taj. In the melee, they were also injured. However, once their job was done, the gang left the place.

Youth stabbed by friends

A third murder was reported from the Cottonpet police limits. A youth was stabbed to death allegedly by his friends over a petty matter.

The incident took place near Sirsi circle, Goodshed road when the group was on their way home after a birthday party.

Cottonpet police gave the name of the deceased as Rajashekar (19). Preliminary investigations revealed the entire gang are petty thieves and are involved in robbery.

It was deceased birth day and after partying, and their way back, something has gone wrong and Rajashekar was stabbed to death, the police added.
