Kundapur, Oct 29: The second annual Kundapur Varado feast, along with the jubilee celebrations of the third Franciscan order of Byndoor unit, was jointly organized at Holy Cross Church Byndoor.

The programme began with instruction to the members by Fr Henry D’Souza OFM Cap. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass followed. It was officiated by Fr Desmond Rebello, episcopal vicar Mysore Diocese.

Parish priest, Fr Francis Cornelio, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Thereafter, a mass felicitation programme was conducted in the church hall. 15 people, who have been in the order for the last 50 years, were honoured by the parish priest and spiritual director.

Fr Dominic Vaz, president of the function, addressed the gathering. The Gangolly unit enacted a skit based on the life of St Paul. The programme was attended by 250 members and lunch was served to all of them.

Varado president, Rita Crasta, welcomed the guests.
