Youth Cong Raises ‘funds’ for BJP MLAs in Davangere !

Davangere,Nov 5 (DHNS): Youth Congress's ‘fund’ raising drive was not for the flood-battered, but for dissidents in the ruling BJP in Karnataka, camping at Hyderabad and Goa, seeking Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s removal.

It was a different march of sorts to raise ‘donations’ by youth Congress activists.

This ‘fund’ raising drive was not for the flood-battered, but for dissidents in the ruling BJP in Karnataka, camping at Hyderabad and Goa, seeking Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s removal.

Liquor bottles

As the youth Congress activists went through the city’s main thoroughfares, donors made offerings like bottles of whisky, brandy, beer, live chicken and even cash.

“Some legislators instead of toiling for flood-hit people are enjoying in the resorts at Hyderabad and Goa for political power. We decided to contribute to the legislators’ expenses at resorts. Hence we are collecting  funds,” K G Shivakumar, a city municipality councillor, said.

About 60 legislators supporting Reddy brothers — Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy and Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy — and their associate, Health Minister B Sreeramulu, who are spearheading the oust-Yeddyurappa campaign, are camping at Hyderabad and Goa. The first ever BJP government in the South has been dogged by the political crisis after unprecedented rains ravaged North Karnataka.

Our legislators are enjoying in resorts at the expenses of minesmen. Let them enjoy in this critical time when the people voted for them had lost everything. Youth Congress should not exploit the situation politically. Please help the needy people as much as you can and they will never forget you.
