Mangaluru: Guest talk by architect Christopher Benninger organised at SIT, Valachil

Mangaluru, Mar 3: A three-day cultural fest 'ARCHIHOLICS' was conducted by the Department of Architecture, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru from February 27-29, 2020. The chief guests of this function were internationally acclaimed architect Christopher Charles Benninger and Ramprasad Akkiseti, managing director of CCBA Designs. The Fest was inaugurated by Benninger.

 

After being welcomed, Benninger had a talk with the faculty members and students of architecture. Later he visited the department and saw the models done by the students and appreciated their work. On this occasion, a talk on 'Timeless Architecture' by the Benninger was organized at Bharath Cinemas, Mangaluru. The program was presided over by the chancellor of Srinivas University, Mangaluru, CA A Raghavendra Rao, Christopher Benninger and Ramprasad Akkiseti, were the chief guests for the program. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, Vijayalakshmi R Rao director, Srinivas Group of Colleges, Mangaluru and Mitra S Rao secretary, Mangaluru were the guests of honour for the day.

More than 300 students, architects and faculties from Srininivas School of Architecture participated in the talk. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Architect Kumarchandra dean School of Architecture, Srinivas Institute of Technology organized the talk along with faculty and students coordinators from the Department of Architecture.
