Mangaluru, Mar 9: The mutilated body of an unidentified youth was found lying on the railway tracks at the second bridge at Morgans Gate in the city. The matter came to light at around 1.30 am on Monday, March 9.

The legs of the youth have been found separated from the torso. The estimated age of the youth is between 30 and 35. A bag and liquor filled in water bottle have been found lying nearby. A receipt for having remitted money in a bank at Thrissur was found from the pocket of his trousers. Only some coins were found in a purse found on his body.

There are chances of the youth having accidentally fallen down from a moving train that would have come to the city from Kerala. It could also be a case of suicide and the youth would have deliberately walked on the tracks to get killed.

Ganesh of Ganesh Ambulance here worked with his assistant till 2 am and ensured that the body was taken to the government Wenlock Hospital. The railway police extended support. Relatives if any of the youth have been asked to contact the railway police here.
