Udupi, Mar 9: Audition for the Crasto's Bhangrali Kogul 2020', an eagerly awaitd Konkani musical reality programme being presented by Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Udyavar golden jubilee committee, was held at Mangaluru and Udupi successfully. ICYM Udyavar is celebrating golden jubilee year of its formation now.
As many as 32 contestants from Udupi diocese and 26 from Mangaluru participated in the auditions. Twelve made it to the grand finale of the programme. Marvel D'Souza Udupi, Sylvia Fernandes, Udyavar, Royton D'Souza Kolalagiri, Reenal Louis Brahmavar, Melvita D'Souza Perampalli, Carole Danti, Pernal, Carrol Sequeira, Valencia, Diell D'Souza, Bondel, Olita Pinto, Gurpur, Anson Menezes, Brahmavar, Seema D'Souza, Allipade, and Reshma Moras, Allipade, are the twelve contestants who will compete in the grand finale.
The audition organized at the auditorium of St Francis Xavier church,Udyavar, was inaugurated by chancellor of Udupi diocese, Fr Stany B Lobo, while the one organized at ICYM central office at Mangaluru was inaugurated by Fr Ronald D'Souza, director, ICYM Mangaluru diocese.
Jotel Attur, Rony Crasta and Meera D'Souza officiated as judges at Udyavar, while Layi Castelino, Nelson Louis and Ivy D'Souza discharged duties as judges at Mangaluru.
Stevan Colaco and Rosalia Cardoza compered the programme. John Gomes, Ronald D'Souza. Anson Andrade, Royton Louis, Toyal Castelino, Jeston Cardoza and others were present.
Honorary president of Silver Jubilee Celebrations Committee and entrepreneur, Norbert Crasto, and family members have sponsored 'Crasto's Bhangrali Kogul - 2020' programme. The grand finale will be held at St Francis Xavier church premises at 5 pm on Sunday March 22.
