Udupi: Japan returnee with suspected coronavirus symptoms admitted to district hospital

Udupi, Mar 13: A youth, who has a travel history of Japan, was admitted to KMC Hospital, Manipal, on Friday, March 13. The person, who has suspected symptoms of coronavirus, is admitted to the district hospital. He is being treated under observation in the isolation ward of the hospital.

The person hails from Shirva, Udupi. It is said that he was employed in Japan on a ship. Several days had passed after his return to hometown. However, he fell sick all of a sudden with suspected symptoms of coronavirus. His blood sample and throat swab have been sent for laboratory tests. The matter will be clear only after arrival of the laboratory report.

Symptoms of the virus were also found in three students who were admitted to KMC hospital Manipal on Friday morning. The students had arrived from Malaysia. They have been admitted in the isolation ward. Their treatment is being continued.
