Mangalore: Hidaya Foundation Organizes Guidance Camp for Teens

Mangalore, Nov 17: The women’s wing of Hidaya Foundation organized a guidance camp for teenagers on education, health and morality and challenges faced by them in modern world at Shushrutha hall of Kasturba Medical College Hospital (KMC), Attavar, recently.  

The guidance camp on `Understanding self’ was inaugurated by associate dean of KMC Dr Urmila Khadilkar. 

Speaking on the topic she said that early stages of youth are very important in the life of every woman, when she first experiences attraction towards opposite sex. In this age, advancement of technology has had its negative impact on the youth against which a proper awareness needs to be created, she added.


Khurshid Haroon, secretary of Hidaya Foundation spoke on the objectives of the foundation. Dr Nina Ajith Mahale, Dr Elizabeth Daniel and Seemanthini T S were the resource persons of the camp. Psychiatrist Dr Ravish Tunga welcomed all and Dr Pooja Rajashekaran proposed the vote of thanks.  

In a separate programme organized by Hidaya Foundation at Bantwal, distribution of medical claim policy to 69 poor families was held along with free health check-up programme as part of its activities in rural area, a press release stated.
