Doha: Tulu Koota Organizes Grand Annual Picnic Trip to Al Shamal Gardens

Doha, Nov 30: Tulu Koota, Qatar organized a wonderful annual picnic at Al Shamal Garden on Sunday November 28, the second day of Eid.

Around 150 Tulu Koota members including few new Tuluvas attended the picnic. The members travelled to Al Shamal Garden in buses and a few cars from here in the morning at 7.30 a.m. Ravi Shetty, president of the club addressed the gathering and began the day’s events with his welcome note. 


 

A number of games were organized for all age groups throughout the day and mainly team games were organized namely lagori, tug-of-war, breaking the pot and bingo. The highlight of the day was the skit competition and with the active participation one could spot lot of talents with many new faces, especially in the skits presented with the four themes namely film industry, bus stand, zoo and college campus.  

Tulu Koota remains grateful to all its supporters and volunteers, especially to the cultural committee member Sridhar Nayak who was the main organizor of the event and was well supported by the cultural secretary Sudha Shetty, ladies co-ordinator Veena Rao and sports secretary Mohan J, who helped directly and indirectly to make the annual picnic a memorable one.
