31 fever clinics started across Bengaluru for coronavirus screening

Bengaluru, Mar 30: The state government is taking various measures to contain the increasing number of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection patients in Karnataka. Already three people have died and 83 people are infected with the dreaded pandemic.

From Sunday, March 29, 31 fever clinics opened throughout the capital city. These clinics will be open from 9 am to 4.30 pm. These clinics will screen people for coronavirus infection for fever, phlegm and screening tests. Each clinic will have a medical officer, nurse, senior and junior health assistants.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is given for personnel who directly test the patients. They will be fully covered in the protective gear from head to toe while conducting the tests. In addition, people can visit these clinics for other minor ailments also.

Hand sanitizers are provided in the clinics. Care will be taken to maintain safe social distance between patients reporting to these clinics. If the person is found to have fever then they will be given medicines and asked to wait for some time. Complete details of each patient will be taken by the team present at these clinics.

Medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar had stated about starting these clinics two days ago. Supermarkets are also installed with thermal scanner in order to check the temperature of customers arriving to buy things.
