Bengaluru: MLA Zameer unhappy with medical staff visiting Padarayanapura at night

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Apr 20: Chamarajpet MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan, has claimed that he had specifically advised medical staff not to visit Padarayanapura at night. He expressed unhappiness at the fact that they did not pay heed to his advice.

Padarayanapura has been identified as coronavirus hotspot. Police along with health staff had visited the spot to quarantine people having contact with the infected persons on Sunday night. The locals had attacked the health staff and policemen, and a video relating to the incident has become viral.

MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan

Speaking to a news channel, Zameer said that the staff had not followed his advice not to go there during the night. He felt that mornings would have been the right time to approach so many people together. Expressing the opinion that such an incident should not have happened, he demanded action against those who were involved with it.

'Why single community does so?'

Minister C T Ravi, in the meanwhile, expressed anguish at the assault of health workers and police at Padarayanapura and demanded strict action against the guilty. He said that the people involved deserve to be handled in the way the Uttar Pradesh government does or something harsher than that. He felt that action under the Goonda Act would be better, and demanded to recover the loss in the incident from the vandals.

Ravi also wondered why the people of a particular community behave this way. He said he does not understand why these people are not serious about coronavirus infection and suspected that someone is encouraging them from behind to behave this way. He said that this looks like a pre-planned incident and sought action even if Zameer Ahmed Khan is involved. He recollected that similar incident had happened at Sadiq Palya sometime back.

Irrespective of religion, community, political party affiliation and position, it's time for the governments at the centre and state to show these kind of people the true meaning of the rule of law. In a critical situation like this the behavior in attacking the police and health workers is unacceptable. All those who took part in the crime should stay behind bars for minimum of 10 years with hefty fines. Government shouldn't bow to any pressure and show to these people that Potter need not ask the permission from the Pot........period. Cut and cease all government sponsored privileges to all those involved in the attack. Let this incident be an example for the entire state. It feels like we are living in 5the century and not in 21st century CE.

Better if all agencies work with community leaders. Containment measures don't work without community cooperation, and this community is already feeling targeted.

Doctors, nurses, medical workforce, are frontline, warriors against every disease... especially so, for battling Covid19 pandemic... Extremely distressing, disturbing to view daily reports on abuse, intimidation, murderous assaults, indecent behavior, from across different states in our nation... This gives rise to suspicion that these are well orchestrated, deliberately planned, to spread the contagious pandemic across our nation... There are reports of infected Pakistanis, terrorists, being pushed across the line of control !!! Likewise infected foreigners, have disappeared from the radar, need to be arrested n their real motives revealed, for spreading this carnage across India !!!!

    Dear Joh,

Imagine, in a normal situation; if one of the residents of these areas visits to a hospital for emergency treatment and if there is any deficiency in service there, the very next day the same would have hit the headlines.... The questions asked would range from "Are not the hospitals supposed to be 24x7 ???. What are these doctor / nurses / health workers doing ??? Why the Health Minister is silent ??? ......." and so on and on.... And on that occasion, the time of the day / night or day of the week or week of the year does not matter for these unscrupulous elements and wanted the entire medical setup at their beck and call

And here the entire setup is coming to your place risking their lives and having sleepless nights to ensure people's safety and the people instead of valuing them are throwing stones; is totally unacceptable.... Hope Government will not budge before political compulsions and pursue these cases vigorously and put these hooligans in their place.

This is an pandemic and effects all the human being irrespective of caste, colour, creed and religion. Instead of condemning he is talking in favour of the rioters and giving such lame justification. These poor health workers are working round the clock and these MLA is saying to come in morning..

If one of these people falls ill or has a heart attack during the night then will he not visit the doctors?

All details are available in the video recorded in the mobile phones, shown in the TV.

People who attacked have been identified & will be having lot of court cases for next 10 years.

Lot of strict laws like NDMA, NSA, Epidemic act of 1897 have been made active across the nation by both state & center.

As cases filed using these laws, they will not come out of jail soon & they have to visit court for at-least for few years from now.

These ministers will not understand what we are going through... There is acute shortage of health care personnel... There is a possibility they had to fulfill their responsibilities in their respective health care centre and hence they set out in the night... The motive has to be appreciated .... Still these people play a blame game... Let them help us in fulfilling our responsibilities instead of wasting time on press conference...

I would like to remind Mr Zameer that on 15th August 1947 India got independence, and since then we all have been given the freedom to roam wherever we want, day or night in this nation being it's citizens, and we don't need anyone's father's permission to go anywhere in this country. And if visiting some place is dangerous for people, then it means there is no law and order in that area.

Why cant there be an emergency in the night? Who are you do decide what time doctors should visit? Looks like you have an pre-panned agenda. Mr. Zameer i hope you will not be caught up with COVID19 and you have an emergency and doctors wont visit to take care of you.

Health volunteers and police personnel are not strangers and thieves. For your information, they stay there in that area in make shift tents to help the people. You people say not to come during night... Suppose, if any of the residents will become serious or with any sudden health issues, don't they call these volunteers? If you can't recognise who are health workers and who are strangers, they are not fit to be called as human beings and that's how they behaved with these volunteers... Whose sake they work there? Leave that area and come back and double seal down completely... Let them be there without anyone's help... Disgusting

Do u even understand how much of pressure they r going through ??? I had no good Friday or easter... We have to work 7 days a week... If they r busy during the day and cannot fulfil their responsibilties they will do it in the night.... It's very easy to talk.. put yourselves in their shoes... Appreciate them and support them... None of us are complaining but making sure that you people who sit at home are safe... We don't even know if we will ever meet our family... Staying alone to make sure they r safe and working hard to ensure that you all are safe...
