Mangalore, Dec 20: 'Turbulance -09' held at Coffee Works Highland, Falnir here gave an opportunity for young Mangaloreans to drool to the music of India’s top notch DJs and thus have a fun-filled long evening.

Organized by Bejai Friends for a noble cause, the event saw India's top notch DJs Dev, NYK (King of Remixes), Parax from Pune and Mangalore’s own Jude with International drummer Carol Gonsalves. The atmosphere at the venue was electrifying with the youth all soaked into the music from the moment it began at 6.0 pm.

The surprise arrival of Santa, fireworks and carols heightened the festive spirit of the evening. Children present at the event were a happy lot while Santa went on to distribute gigts to them.

The show was presented by the organizers, United Friends, Bejai to help cancer patients from the proceeds. The group founded in year 1989 initially concentrated on sports activities. However slowly spreading its wings moved from conducting inter-parish cricket tournaments and football tournaments towards mega events like ‘Fantasia – 98’ and Fantasia - 2000 that comprised a Baby Show, a Beauty Contest and inter-parish variety competition.

Speaking to Daijiworld after the event, George D'Souza, senior member of Beao Friends said that the young members have worked hard to organize the show and the response too has been tremendous. Shows for good causes have always been supported by Mangaloreans, he said.

BIG FM 92.7 and Daijiworld.com were media partners for the event.
