Mangalore: Hero Chethan- Director Chaithanya Combo Back Again with Suryakanthi

Mangalore, Dec 20: Chethan and K M Chaithanya, hero-director duo, who created a great hit in Aa Dinagalu are back again with their latest venture, Suryakanthi. Chethan expects that the duo will be able to recreate the magic of Aa Dinagalu through the latest film, which is all set to release soon.
Suryakanthi is the second directorial venture of K M Chaithanya. Apart from Chethan as hero, Ilayaraja as music director and H C Venu as cinematographer, who worked for Aa Dinagalu as well have been repeated again. The film is produced by M Vasu and Sujatha B N. `Mungaru Male' fame director Yograj Bhat, journalist and story writer Agni Shridhar, poet Jayanth Kaikini and Kalyan have penned the lyrics. Litterateur K Y Narayana Swami has written the dialogues.
Speaking to Daijiworld, Chethan exuded confidence that the movie with a different kind of story telling is sure to appeal to the Kannada film lovers. Suryakanthi, a different film in the real sense, has all the capacity to become a blockbuster and is inspired from a true story. It is an out and out commercial entertainer with right ingredients such as love, sentiments and action, but with a difference, stressed Chethan.
Chethan said that music maestro Ilyaraja has given lilting music. Many of these songs are catchy and extremely hummable. The picturisation of songs too are simply beautiful. The scenic locations of Uzbekistan are breathtaking, he said.
Regina, Model cum actress, is the heroine of the movie. She said that the movie indeed looks very different in terms of its story, action, camera work and music. Basically from Chennai she hopes to make a confident the debut in Kannada. She has acted in two Tamil movies so far.
Chethan, who is a rage among girls, speaking about his look in this movie said that it is very different from his last release, Birugaali and sure to attract the audience. When queried on was he selective when it came to movie roles, Chethan said that he was interested in doing quality stuff rather than being measured by quantity of films he does. Story and how it reaches the audience are of prime importance to me, he said.
Chethan was born to parents of Bangalore-Mysore origin in US and introduced to richness of Kannada by his parents. Further his frequent visit to his homeland increased his love towards the language and culture. “I actively involved in acting since I was a boy and also dabbled playing few musical instruments. Now I am into acting in films and aim to do well here, he said adding that he is in the field as he is happy and satisfied. Once they cease to exist let me think in some other direction, he added.
Having loved Mangalore city and culture, he evinced interest to act in Tulu films if a good offer comes by.
