Mangalore, Dec 24: It was an evening of blissful, enjoyable experience for those who had gathered at St Aloysius college grounds, where a social service organization, ‘White Doves’, had organized a programme titled `Christmas N Carols’ on the eve of Christmas, on Wednesday, December 23.
The audiences lapped up the carols, dances and the plays presented on the occasion, and thoroughly liked the uniqueness of the programme and its presentation. Two different stages had been built adjacent to the main stage, which made one feel excited and thrilled at the experience of viewing the actions of the play taking place simultaneously in three stages.
The play presented on the birth of the Lord got tremendous response from the people, because of the style in which the play was presented, and as the action, unfolding in three different stages, took the performance to altogether a different level.
The carols presented by the Corrine Rasquinha, founder president of White Doves, and his team, with a soulful touch, and the beautiful, rich voices of the team members, amazed the audiences. A short play presented at the beginning, which spread the message that the Lord is always with those who serve the mankind, caught the audience’s attention because of its style of presentation.
Walter Nandalike, editor in chief of Daijiworld.com and NRI entrepreneur, Max Rasquinha, inaugurated the show by freeing white doves in the air, in the presence of Jennifer Mascarenhas of SMKC, Dubai and Fr Franklin D Souza, spiritual director of ‘White Doves’ and Corrine Rasquinha, founder president and Oliver Rasquinha, founder trustee of ‘White Doves’.
Walter Nandalike, speaking on the occasion, wished the glorious event a grand success.
Fr Franklin D Souza, spiritual director of ‘White Doves’, blessed the occasion and the initiatives of the organization. He said that the organization has been conducting the Gods ministry, in pursuit of the mission to serve the poor, the downtrodden and those who are in need of help. Serving the mankind with humanitarian touch tantamount to practicing the Lord’s message, he added.
‘White Doves’ is celebrating its 15 years in social service. It is a non-governmental organization, engaged in providing shelter to the downtrodden, the poor prople, who are picked up from the streets, irrespective of their caste, creed or religious affiliations.
