Kuwait : Victor Concessao to Perform at KCWA's 'Kala Milan'

Kuwait, Dec 31: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) is pleased to announce the mega event “Kala Milan” on Friday 9th April 2010 at American International School auditorium, Kuwait. The show will be a mixed bag of entertainment with theater, music & dance. Recently performed maiden Tiatr of Mangalorean Konkani ‘Kuwait Soddun Vetana’ will be performed on this occasion in response to the public demand and overwhelming popularity of the Tiatr. This indeed will be a golden opportunity for the people who missed to view the Tiatr last time, which depicts the real family drama and trauma of thousands of Mangaloreans working in Kuwait. The Tiatr which was originally written by Rosary ferns (Goa) was translated into Mangalorean Konkani by Lancy Rodrigues, Bondel who will be again directing it with the same cast/artists for the Tiatr, along with a totally new comedy sequel played by the top comedian Stephen Machado and team.

Victor Concessao, one of the popular Konkani singers will be flying in from India with his melodious super hit songs to perform for the first time in Kuwait.

To further entertain the audience, one of the most reputed dance groups of Kuwait ‘Jovas XLNC’ will be performing sensational dances for the songs.

KCWA which was established in 1988 is one of the premier organizations in Kuwait having established poor children’s education funds in more than 150 schools in Coastal Karnataka to provide primary education regardless of caste and creed (for more information please log on to www.kcwa.org). In Kuwait, KCWA has been instrumental for the past years in successfully organizing various cultural events and providing an opportunity to the Konkani singers/composers to come to Kuwait and show their talents.

    Victor Concesso is a simple , talented , without show off, no big taliking personality is a down to earth person. Always smily person active in prish konkani activities of Sacred Heart Church has given many shows "victor nite" for the benefit of the Andheri Parish. I know him as a parishoner . He is highly talented person . I welcome him to kuwait for the kala milan. Surely kuwait audince will like his songs and compositions. I wish victor Bab and kala milan artists all the best.

    All the best to KCWA. Hope the show will be a great success which will be a help for the POOR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION FUND in our home land. I have seen this tiatr and wanted to see it again under the KCWA banner since most of the artists were KCWA members. So finally my wish is granted. The tiatr (drama) is really worth to be watched by one and all specially by konkani lovers. Also the jokes are superb. I am also happy that KCWA has chosen Mr. Victor Concessao to entertain the people with his lovely and meaningful songs. I had the opportunity to attend his night at Derebail Church for the first time on 8th November 2009. You will not regret for your selection. Good Luck and all the best. Long live KCWA.

    Dear Victorab, All the best for your show in Kuwait. I am sure you will give the audience more than they expected. KCWA you have chosen a right person. Victorab, if you remember, I was a singer in your troop during your shows in Mangalore. Hope Babush, Sukreen, Lola, Thio will be there in this show too.
