Dharwad: People taken aback at nude sight of Swamiji; he issues clarification

Daijiworld Media Network - Dharwad (SP)

Dharwad, May 7: The devotees of a Swamiji here were shell-shocked at the sight of the Swamiji without any clothes on his body.

The video clip of the head of Ayyappa Swamiji Math here has become viral. The people are aghast at the way the Swamiji, known as Mohan Guru Swamiji, has projected himself through this act. The devotees, who have become angry, have now been demanding him to be ousted from the Math.

Mohan Guru Swamiji

It is said that Mohan Guru Swamiji consumed overdose of liquor at night and then consumed ganja. Under the influence of these things, he came in the nude and slept at Siddaroodha Ashram on Kusagal Road. Devotees who came to the Math in the morning saw what had happened.

Under the leadership of Mohan Guru Swamiji, every year, hundreds of devotees were inducted into the annual pilgrimage programme and in honour, he was also taken in a procession atop an elephant as a mark of honour.

Swamiji clarifies

Mohan Guru Swamy, giving his account of the episode, claimed that he was resting at Sidharoodha Math on Kusagal Road, when some miscreants without his knowledge, removed his clothes, recorded the same on video and shared it in social media. He gave the name of the miscreants as Vijaya Poojari from Shabari Nagar and Shjankar Iddali who did this act because they are envious about his rise in popularity in the field of spirituality.

He did not harm anyone physically. We find so many mad people nude on the roads. So the problem is only for the people who trusted him as a holy Sadhu. They may have to make the necessary corrections to their beliefs.

Readers a concoction of Alcohol and drugs, are potentially n extreme combination.... many perish because of overdose !!! Why did the devotees, not call a medical doctor, for a breath and blood test ??? The reports would have certainly established, the culpability of the Swami !!!

Thanks. But the worship is to reach God through learned creatures who know how to entice the God. mostly God cannot take all the prayers at one time as there are Billions of people praying at the same time. We need some mediators to send the message accross.

Nowadays not all are blessed to have a good spiritual Guru / Master.
It is better to seek and then see the God in you first and then in others.
For the blessed it happens in a ' click ' ...for some others it may take sine time ..

People simply misunderstood. It is called Nirvana, the highest stage of bhakti. The physical form and external appearance are irrelevant. Transcendental meditation purifies the soul and the person doesn't give any importance to unnatural covering of body.

Swamiji's rise in popularity in the field of spirituality led to some miscreants, without his knowledge, removing of his clothes, record the same on video and shared it in social media. Even LKG students won't believe this version of swamiji.
    It is liquor spirit-uality.

It's not Swamiji's fault. He must have thought, there is Lock down, so no bhakths will visit his Math!

Rajesh, whether he harmed anyone or not is the question here. With the position he is in, what is his responsibility? Drink gangasara and consume ganja? He is earning his livelihood by hard work? It is those foolish people who should be punished first before him. Even if you are to believe his story of X and Y came without his knowledge, removed his clothes, recorded the same on video and shared it in social media. How on earth one can go to that deep sleep that you do not even know that people removed your cloths and recorded video (unless you're tight with gangasara which recently made available) and still know the names of those people who removed the cloths!! How that is possible?? You said, he didn't harmed anyone but now is he not harming those people X and Y by cooking up a story about.
