New Delhi, May 8: The education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Friday announced the decision regarding the cancelled CBSE examinations. The Class 10 and 12 examinations for schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be held in the first half of July.

"The students have been impatiently waiting for the schedule for pending exams. It has been decided today that the exams will be conducted from July 1 to 15," Pokhriyal said.

Further details on the schedule of the CBSE exams will be announced soon, he added.

Following the orders by the central government and as preventive measures for the coronavirus pandemic, universities and schools were shut down and exams were postponed on March 16. The countrywide lockdown which was enforced on March 24, has since then been extended till May 17.
