Bengaluru: Centre asks Twitter to block Tejasvi Surya's communally explicit tweet

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 9: Social media is agog with communally explicit material including hate messages and disturbing tweets. The central government has taken up the issue of cleaning up this mess. It is learnt that the central government has asked Twitter to block 121 posts which it finds to be objectionable. The tweet made by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, is reportedly one among them.

The tweet of Tajasvi Surya that is proposed to be blocked was made in 2015. The tweet, while agreeing that terrorism in itself has no religion, insisted that terrorists have religion. Tejasvi had added that in most cases, the terrorists turn out to be Muslims. This statement had aroused lot of criticism and opposition. Many had demanded for deleting of this tweet. But Tejasvi preferred to retain the tweet. Therefore, it is said, the union department of electronics and information has approached Twitter with a request to block this tweet.

In another controversial tweet of 2015, the current Bengaluru (south) MP had said that 95 percent of Arab women since hundreds of years had forgotten to have orgasm during the course of married life. He also had added that every mother there delivered children out of mechanical sexual activities and not out of love. This tweet too had faced brickbats and flak recently, after which it was deleted.

This man is full of hate to put such a tweet. Shocking that the party leaders are silent on this sick MP. These leaders are hurting the unity of the nation.

The center has only asked the religious sensitive twitted to be blocked after the prominet Royal Arab personality raised the voice for his previous post. This BJP MP is habitual offender and has grown with poor parenting.

In 2019 just before the general elections Surya contended that 49 outlets, including English and Kannada print and electronic media as well as Google, Yahoo, Facebook and Twitter published a series of articles and social media posts about #MeToo allegations against him. The articles were prompted by an exchange on Twitter between columnist Shefali Vaidya and one Dr. Som Dutta, who alleged that Surya was a “womaniser, abuser and woman beater”. Dr. Dutta has since deleted the tweets and deactivated her Twitter handle.

Why not Twitter suspend his accounts like Uttara Kanada MP for hatred against Muslim and calling the entire community 'terrorist'?
Is it the meaning of PM Modi's 'Digital India'?

BJP high command is requesting Twitter to remove Tejasvi's tweets. Instead why not asking Tejasvi to remove his tweets ??!!
Congress built India from almost nothing in hand after the Independence.
They made the world to respect and accept Indians globally.
Since 2014, no major developmental projects and our countries economy is sinking day by day.
BJP was labelling congress as corrupt party then why PM care funds has no transparency, why not Lokpal bill introduced (where is Anna hazare a BJP agent now!!)
Lockdown was not at all planned like demonitization. Actually, BJP centeral leadership was busy toppling MP congress government, so no time for proper planning. Should've given 2 days at least , so that many of the workers would've reached their home safely.
Since, 2014 people are busy hatting other faiths. Cow politics, Lynching and now jamat.
India is not a rich country like Europe, America or the middle East, if we don't maintain good relations with everyone then we all will be the losers.
Wake up guys. Stop supporting blindly. Be a human first.

So the Centre did it . Why should Cong brigade be happy ?? Okay what next??? Ideally Congress leaders should have forced the centre to take action of Surya. Here BJP earns brownie points for being an unbiased party taking action on their leaders irrespective of their position. The Congis are NOW bashing Surya which is ideally potraying BJP as a great party. For sure, this Surya will win next elections as well. He is below 30 and already and MP. I would not be surprised if he is the contender for the next CM post. Ideally Cong should learn a big lesson here. But Cong will never ever learn and for sure wont nurture young talents . Young Cong soldiers are just limited to shout their lungs out during elections for Siddu, Ramanatha Rai, J Poojari, Ghelot, Kamalath . No wonder some Congi supporters and leaders are tilting towards BJP and even contesting as well.

The govt asks Twitter just to block the post and not asking tejaswi to delete his posts? Shows the mindset of the govt. Just because the whole world is now noticing the hate mongering, polarization and orchestration of riots, the govt is worried about funding and fake image. Without their IT cell this govt is nothing

If the tweets Tejasvi Surya tweeted were tweeted by someone else other than a BJP member or supportor, there would have been multiple FIRs filed, IPC sections thrown on the person, would be in jail. Over the years we have seen that those who sow seeds of communal hatred, bigotry in the name of nationalism get elected by the people because they are brainwashed before elections in the name of religion.

There are at least two ways of looking at the matter:

    (1) The top decision-makers have concluded that the man does not promote harmony. So he needs to be censured.

    (2) The top decision-makers have concluded that he is too much of a threat for their liking. So he needs to be censured.

What if the second case is true?

If leaders from other states rise, how can all of the future National mega projects go to Gujarat?

Still, he is doing the same old job as BHAKTH and is SAD. Grow up Surya. Do a good job and start looking to promote positives in a multicultural society.

So many blind followers are projecting Tejaswi, Anant Hegde as future CMs and Amit Shah, Yogi as future PMs. This will lead them to be arrogant!!!
