lot of criminals can be nabbed if these so called migrant 'labour' is probed...all these people are not 'workers' / 'labour'. Most of them are contractors/sub-contractors/family members who are part of contractor / sub-contractor's workforce...pan bida vendors, paanipuri vadapaav vendors doing illegal / unhygienic roadside business, road side cut fruit / spoilt fruit merchants, laundry / washermen..some may be even part of underworld (paid goondas), part of drug chain etc.

Regarding people who came as labourers/workers, the contractor who brought them here should be made to pay the ticket fare...

It does't mean that they will never come back. There no restriction. Anyway now construction activities have stopped. And we can offer these jobs to gulf returnees.

Good. Instead of airlifting, Govt should help poor migrant workers. They are part of our developing country. Who paid tax, voted for this Govt.

Exactly. They are down to earth people. They don't expect any red carpet welcome, free food, free porter facility. They strictly follow quarantine instructions as per Govt rules. Don't argue unnecessarily.

Great job. If you treat them nicely, then surely they will return back to their work once the covid-19 problem subsides. Show humanity first to these poor labourers...not to forget they too are our 'nation builders'. Some one has shown sympathy from Udupi District Administrational level. Better late than never....as Mr. Rahul Gandhi has suggested this to the Government of India long time back. May be ...some "Educated Andh Bakths" may not like him....but he is proved right to our arrogant ruling leaders and their supporters.
