Bangalore: Archbishop Addresses 'Sanyasa Sangamam' Held on Jan 31

Bangalore, Feb 1: "Never at any moment give up doing good, even in the face of persecution or opposition,” said archbishop Bernard Moras.

Addressing the gathering of over 500 priests and religious representing various congregations at 'Sanyasa Sangamam' held at St Germain School grounds on Sunday January 31.



 
Archbishop exhorted the priests and religious to renew their commitment to service was speaking against the backdrop of attacks on churches. “God has given us the mandate to uplift the poor, alleviate the suffering of people and empower people through education, through our various ministries. People may misinterpret or misread our work, but that should not stop us from doing the good for others,” said Moras..

Episcopal Vicar for Religious, Monsignor Paul Puthnangady said that the archdiocese has the largest religious in the world, after the Vatican.

The priests and religious delegates included a wide range of participants from the nuns of Mother Teresa's congregation serving the poorest of the poor to the Jesuits involved in the field of education.

    Indeed here is Archbishop Bernard again discarding all barriers of castes and creeds and making his bold statements at 'SANYASA SANGAMAM' It was Archbishop Bernard who faced The Chief Minister last year when he told him plainly that he had hurt the feelings of The Christians.
