Dubai : Grand Celebrations Mark Second Anniversary of ‘Omzooreche Dive’

Dubai, Feb 5: It was a memorable day for all Omzooreans and their guests at the Dubai Grand Hotel as their association ‘Omzooreche Dive’ stepped into its third glorious year on Friday February 5.
The day-long event started around 11.30 am with live music under the direction of Arun Carlo.
The programme began with a prayer hymn followed by the welcome speech by Arthur Pereira.
Arthur welcomed the dignitaries, sponsors, and guests. A beautiful welcome song by the committee members, was appreciated by the audience. The traditional cake-cutting ceremony by the committee members was held immediately after the welcome song.
Dony Correa, talented young singer and compere, took charge of conducting the event and entertained the crowd with games, spot prizes, and humour.
Dubai’s very own talents Lancy Noronha, Mario Rego, Sharon Rego, Joseph Mathias, Raviraj Tantri, Shayna Noronha, Lancy Madtha, and Meena rendered beautiful numbers from Konkani, Kannada, and Hindi movies.
Dubai’s talented comedy duo Pradeep Barboza and Deepak D’Silva kept the audience in splits with their performances.
Young at heart, energetic member of Omzoorche Dive, George, performed a dance.
Another highlight of the day was the dance performance by little master Gavin, Delvina, Avril Pinto, and the Konkan Yuva team.
Melvyn D’Cunha, chairman, MCC Bank, Mangalore, was the chief guest and Elias Sanctis, entrepreneur and former president of Tulu Koota Kuwait, was the guest of honour.
The event was filled with music, comedy, and fun with excellent organizing by Omzooreche Dive members who put in their collective efforts to make the event a success. Arthur Pereira proposed the vote of thanks.
Anil Cardoza's Dj music had the audience rocking to Bollywood and Konkani tunes. The event ended with non-stop Baila where people joined in for some dancing.
