Mangalore: One-Day Seminar on Industrial Relations Held at St Aloysius

Mangalore, Mar 4: The MSW HR forum of St Aloysius College organized a one-day seminar on Industrial relations in the downtrend at the college premises on Wednesday March 3.



J  K Rao, trustee of Vikas group of education inaugurated the seminar and Fr Swebert D’Silva, principal presided.

Speaking on the occasion Rao said that lack of patriotism and communication leads to conflicts and crisis at home, society, family and even in the organizations. He said that in India during any agitation or strike the public property is being destroyed which is a sad thing and should be prevented. Highlighting the role of HR’s he said they are responsible for relations, growth and economy.

Dr Savitha Pereira, co-ordinator of the seminar briefed about the purpose of holding the seminar. She said it intends to prepare the budding HR professionals to handle industrial relations and their future endeavors.

The seminar included various sessions like techniques to overcome industrial crisis by K Nikesh shetty, advocate, role of HR personnel as a communicator by Nithin Kumar, assistant lead HR, Infosys, innovative methods and practices in industrial relations by Abdul Saleem, manager HR and administration, Canara Springs.

Ms Loveena Lobo, head of MSW department welcomed the gathering. Anil Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. Fr Francis Almeida dean of MSW department was present.
