Mangalore: No Qualms on Shobha’s Elevation – Janardan Reddy

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Mar 14: Tourism minister, Janardan Reddy, who was in the city to inaugurate development works, clarified on Saturday March 13 that the national leaders of the party have the discretion to appoint persons of their choice for the national executive of the party, and that he will be bound by the decision they take.

There is a speculation that Shobha Karandlaje, who had been an anathema for the Reddy brothers during their open revolt against the Chief Minsiter, and one of the important demands put forth by them was to drop her from the cabinet, is likely to be accommodated in a party post at the national level. The press men had drawn his attention to the fact that Shobha had been dropped from the ministry because of vociferous demands for the same from his camp, and whether the mining barons from Bellary feel that their importance in the party is getting dented because of her proposed elevation. “I will be bound by any decision our national leaders take,” he insisted, without bothering to explain further.
