Mangalore, Mar 31: The Mangalore Bar Association has given a time of ten days for the state government to entrust the case relating to the mysterious disappearance of young advocate, Pritam, from the city over two months ago.

In a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, which was handed over to the district deputy commissioner at the end of their silent procession in the city on Tuesday March 30, the advocates have blamed the policemen of the district for their lethargy and apathy in finding out the missing advocate, although it is nearly three months since he suddenly disappeared.

“As the policemen have failed to make any headway in the case, the investigation of the case should be entrusted to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The missing lawyer should be traced at the earliest. If the government fails to hand over the case to CBI within ten days, the lawyers from all over the state will launch an intensive agitation to achieve this objective,” they stated.

Hundreds of Mangalore Bar Association members participated in the silent procession.
