Bhubaneswar, Sep 11 (IANS): Odisha's Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain on Friday said that he has tested positive for Covid-19.
Confirming this through his Twitter handle, Swain said he was asymptomatic and under home isolation as advised by the doctor.
"I have been tested positive for #Covid-19. Although I don't have any symptoms I am at home isolation as advised by my doctor. I have requested all my staff and each one who came in contact to get them tested as soon as possible," tweeted Swain.
Swain became the sixth Minister in the state to be infected by coronavirus.
Earlier in the day, Odisha's Women and Child Development and Mission Shakti Minister Tukuni Sahu confirmed that she has tested positive for Covid-19.
Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, Labour Minister Susanta Singh, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahu and Textiles and Handlooms Minister Padmini Dian had also been infected with the virus.
