New Delhi, Sep 17: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the youth will observe 'National Unemployment Day' or 'Rashtriya Berozgar Day' on Thursday, September 17 over the growing unemployment rate in India amid the economic crisis.
Rahul Gandhi in a tweet said, , “Massive unemployment has forced the youth to call today #NationalUnemploymentDay. Employment is dignity. For how long will the Govt deny it?”
The trend has gone viral is seen as a mark of protest against rising unemployment and Modi's inefficiency and failure to tackle the issue in creating jobs and providing employment.

In another tweet the Congress scion also wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he celebrates his birthday and turned 70 on Thursday.
Rahul Gandhi voicing on the unemployment issue said that over one crore Indians are seeking jobs, on the contrary only 1.77 lakh jobs are available. To bring this in the nation's notice he tagged a Hindi news report.
Rahul Gandhi has been vocal about various issues and has been constantly attacking the Centre over being ignorant towards serious issues including unemployment, handling of the coronavirus crisis, the standoff between India and China and others.
While the youth joined the twitter storm seeking for employment and observing the day as 'Unemployment Day', the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), to mark Modi's birthday launched 'Seva Saptah' to undertake various social service activities like blood donation camps, planting saplings, cleanliness and so on.
