Byndoor, Oct 1: The second ordinary meeting of Byndoor taluk panchayat was held at the taluk panchayat auditorium on October 1.
Mahendra Poojary said that 50% of the package released for Byndoor taluk panchayat that is divided from Kundapur taluk panchayat should be paid as no other package is released for Byndoor taluk. "The matter should be brought to the notice of higher officials." Social justice committee president Pushparaj Shetty said, "There should be division in movable and immovable property also. 37 members should be considered. A man has reserved by 94c title deed an Anganwadi land that has existed for the last 26 years. The land should be reserved for Anganwadi," he said.
President Mahendra Poojary said that the land for 37 former soldiers should be identified. "A COVID hospital is necessary in Byndoor as the COVID cases are increasing here."
Jagadish Devadiga and Pravin Kumar said that corona warriors should be felicitated for their selfless work. Member Girija Kharvi questioned the reason for charging fishermen for fishermen certificates.
Officials of the children's welfare department said that Anganwadi centres need their own premises for the centres. Jagadish Devadiga asked if cases are registered over illegal mining of Bauxite in Shirur. "The revenue department should watch where illegal mining is taking place." Pramila Devadiga said that ration cards are being converted for Antyodaya.
Greeshma Bide said that several people among 300- 400 94C applicants have not received title deeds. Pravin Kumar alleged that only rich people get title deeds. He said that applications for sewing machines should be collected according to the availability of machines.
