Mangalore, Apr 16: The activists of the Congress, under the aegis of the city north block committee of the party, staged a protest in front of the milk dairy of Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) in Kulshekar in the city in the morning of Friday April 16.

The activists, who were holding placards blaming the government for creating problems for the poor people, raised slogans against the state government.  Congress Party north block president, K Suresh Ballal, and party leaders, Kallige Taranath Shetty and M G Hegde, addressed the protestors. They accused the government of refusing to accept the proposal to hike the milk prices by two rupees a litre when the previous chairman of KMF, Revanna, had moved it, and then hiking the price by four rupees a litre after the conclusion of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike election.

They demanded for rolling back of the prices, fixing a uniform price for KMF milk  in all the districts, to print date of packing on all the milk sachets without fail and to open more parlours across the district to stop the milk vendors from taking advantage of milk scarcity and selling it at exorbitant prices.

These useless people have no other work. Let them first check milk price Maharastra, Tamil Nadu, & Kerala. Their party is power in Maharastra, & in TN their ally. Note that the price there is higher than in Karnataka. In Maharastra its Rs.27/- per litre. If they so wish, first let they lower price in their ruled states, & presurise here.
Speak what you do, & do what you speak.

If the answer is NO, then these demos are only meant to be the frustrations of congress, the same ones that BJP was doing when Congress was in power in Karnataka

Good job done by Congress. When Congress was ruling the state BJP always on roads for protest n all. but now they are not thinking about people. After BBMP elections they increase the milk price, if they did this before elections means they may never win a single seat also. Now people may come to know about the cunning nature of ruling govt.
