Karnataka likely to make Covid test compulsory at all tourist spots: Dr Sudhakar

Madikeri, Oct 6 (IANS): Karnataka medical education minister K Sudhakar on Tuesday asserted that the state government was contemplating to come out with new guidelines like compulsory Covid test and physical checking of tourists using police, health and revenue department staff at all tourist places.

Speaking to reporters after a high-level meeting of elected representatives and Kodagu district officials here, Sudhakar said that the state government was coming out with these new guidelines only to prevent the pandemic spreading from tourists.

The minister added that the state government was not in favour of reopening schools or colleges at present even though the central government had issued (Unlock 5.0) instructions for starting schools and colleges in the state.

"As both experts and parents are opposing it since there is an upsurge in infections in our state, hence it is not appropriate to start the classes in our state," Sudhakar said.

Looks like health minister has taken too much cough syrup. That’s why he is talking drivel. Who the hell is going to get medical test to visit a monument. Also this is college photo of minister. He looks much more ugly now. Lying makes you ugly. Corruption takes a away any looks he possessed when born.

    Good Move -
To kill tourist industry & starve state economy.
End the Test Raaj & stop the fear mongering daily with illogical decisions & statements that lack scientific data or logic.

Covid testing should be made compulsory for everyone in the state every 14 days so that the virus can be easily detected. This includes not only tourists but also all police personnel, revenue and health department staff. All those working in shops, transport operators, hotels, restaurants, govt employees should do the covid testing every 14 days. This will help the medical industry to get a good source of income and all the testing laboratories so many thousands will be employed in all the districts. This is a great master stroke of BJP led government to generate lots of jobs to become atmanirbir and income for the government in the form of 25% GST on tests.

Not to worry, there's a world of distance between what they say and what they can do. We didn't become number 2nd just like that.
