Bantwal: 30-year-old construction worker killed by falling stone

Bantwal, Oct 7: In a tragic incident which happened at Siddakatte within the limits of the rural police station here on Wednesday October 7, a construction worker lost his life after a stone directly fell on his head while being busy at work.

The deceased was Ramananda Gowda (30), son of Esappa Gowda from Siddakatte Manchakal.

Ramananda Gowda was undertaking masonry during the construction of a new house at Sangabettu near Siddakatte. Afer a stone fell down all of a sudden, Ramananda suffered severe injuries to his skull. He died on the spot. Three workers were working for the said house construction.



Bantwal rural police sub-inspector, Prasanna and other staff visited the spot and registered a case.

    No health safety at work. Just working blindly.
    Laterite stone not sized properly nd even internal pointing not done vth plastering.but lintels constructed over laterite masonry vthout finishing properly masonry work.
    Totally site is messy.
