Bangalore, Apr 17:  "There is growing evidence that the current health systems of the nations around the world will be unsustainable if unchanged over the next 15 years.  India is at a point in time where we can chose and embed strong fundamentals in our healthcare systems, as we are just starting to build the healthcare model.  We must build our indigenous healthcare system and stop importing failures" Union Minister for Law and Justice, Veerappa Moily told students graduating from St. Johns National Academy of Health Sciences, on Saturday, April 17.

Commenting on the need for morality in the medical profession, he added "A profession is not merely an occupation of highly learned and skilled technicians.  It also includes a strong and inseparable moral commitment made publicly.  In medicine, this avowal of morality has behind it, a tradition of many centuries.  Ethics is and has always been a force both within and outside the medical profession, shaping its contours and the behaviour of its practitioners".

Archbishop Dr. Bernard Moras presided over the Convocation and gave away the certificates.  Director of St John's National Academy of Health Sciences Dr Lawrence D'Souza was present.

raju, manglaore, Lot of spelling mistakes in your comments and you are showing your jelousy in your comments. Its not a suit, ask any Catholics or the students of Catholic School. They will tell you what it is? Once you people only called Moily Lower Cast. But we dont feel the human that way. Thats why our Majesty Bishop honour with a great respect and invite him and didn't show any difference among people. Veerappa Moily is a able Politician and he prove it and thats the reason the Catholic School inviting him. Got my point. In Gods eyes all humans are same, but in humans eyes HARIJAN< GIRIJAN, LOWER CAST, UPPER CAST....
