Udupi: Student Council of SDM College of Ayurveda Inaugurated

Udupi, Apr 28: The student council of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwar (SDM) College of Ayurveda, Kuthpady, was inaugurated on Wednesday April 28.   

Dr U N Prasad, principal, SDM College of Ayurveda, inaugurated the student council during a function held at Bhavaprakasha Auditorium of Mathrushri Rathnamma Memorial Golden Jubilee Building on Wednesday.

 

Town councilor Dinakar Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion.  He congratulated the new office-bearers of the student council and said, “Human beings are ever dependent on nature and are expected to be grateful to nature.  Ayurveda natural system of medicine aiming for the service of mankind is really a divine profession and its professionals are honoured by society when they carry out their duties humbly”. 

Prof V K Sridar Holla, dean of student welfare, administered the oath to the new office-bearers of the student council including Harikrishna B N (president) and D Srikrishna (general secretary).   

Sudha Kanchi rendered the prayers.  Prof K R Ramachandra, vice-principal of the college, welcomed the gathering.  D Srikrishna proposed the vote of thanks.  Rajani Hegde and Shilpa K compered the programme.
