Beltangady: ‘Madhurya Ratna’ Award Conferred on Dr K J Jesudas

Beltangady, Apr 29: “Every individual has some inherent capacity and skills that are deeply embedded. He should bring out the hidden skills, hone them, and lead a contented life with their help,” advised celebrated singer, Sangeeta Ratna, Padma Bhushan, Dr K J Jesudas.
He was speaking after accepting the ‘Madhurya Ratna’ award conferred on him on behalf of Dharmasthala temple on Wednesday April 28, at a function organized at Amritavarshini auditorium in Dharmasthala. “Without fail, revere your parents and the Guru. At the same time, learn to respect and love others. Let us not create fissures among ourselves on the lines of castes and creeds. Have a feeling that all of us are one,” he said.
Jesudas also requested the people to accept the fact that the Lord is omnipotent and that nature is sublime and hence, needs to be nurtured, not destroyed. He also opined that Indian culture is the noblest in the world and that the quality of sacrifice always brings in rewards in the form of happiness and honour.
Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, who handed over the said award, advised the people not to get entangled in petty things in life, and rise to be the universal human beings. He also opined that without music and art, life would have been barren, and that music has the capacity to permeate beyond the borders of the countries and touch the hearts of everyone.
Later, Jesudas presented a programme of devotional songs. Hemavaty Heggade, D Surendra Kumar, D Harshendra Kumar, sponsor of the programme, Venkataratna Poti, his wife, Satyabhama, son Sachin Poti etc., were present.
