Sullia: Drawing teacher who fell from tree succumbs to injuries

Sullia, Nov 12: A drawing teacher who had lost his balance accidentally when cutting down the branch of a tree near his home breathed his last at a private hospital in Mangaluru on Wednesday, November 11 without responding to treatment.

Mahabala Kula (55), a drawing teacher in the high school section of Panja government PU college, was a resident of Krishnanagara, Panja. He is survived by wife, who is also a teacher, a son, and a daughter.

Kula had also served at Bellare PU college in the past. He was a multi-talented person. He was identified as a good organiser, host and director of plays.

He had served as the president of the district drawing teachers association, president of taluk high school teachers associaiton, president of JCI Panja and director of government employees cooperative society.
