New Delhi, May 17 (IANS): Doning multiple roles at a time, that of a writer, producer and director, Ram Gopal Varma is extending his versatility by lending his voice to the Telugu version of his upcoming trilingual "Rakta Charitra".
"I tried a lot of voices but I felt that my voice was representing its emotion the best (in 'Rakta Charitra'). Some criticised my diction and pronunciation but that voiceover’s purpose was to convey a message and not to educate people on the fineries of the Telugu language," Varma, whose mother tongue is Telugu, posted on his blog http://rgvzoomin.com.
Based on the life of the alleged outlaw Paritala Ravi, the trlingual in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, stars Vivek Oberoi in the lead.
It also stars Tamil superstar Surya and Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha, who plays Telugu Desam Party chief N.T. Rama Rao, who was also the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Paritala Ravi, who was wanted in several serious cases, contested and won elections on a Telugu Desam ticket.
Asked on the blog by a visitor, if the movie will redefine violence, Varma wrote: "Actually it will refine violence."
The filmmaker also pointed out that the background score in the movie is "very noisy".
