New York, May 24 (IANS): Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has returned to Los Angeles for a court hearing.
The actress landed Saturday following a trip to Cannes that caused legal woes for her earlier in the week. An arrest warrant was issued against her after she missed a mandatory hearing on her progress report on her probation stemming from two arrests in 2007.
Her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said Lohan's passport was stolen while she was at the Cannes Film International Festival and was unable to return to Los Angeles in time for the hearing. But the judge rejected the reason and issued an arrest warrant, reports people.com.
Although the warrant was lifted after Lohan posted $100,000 bail, the actress has been ordered to appear at a new hearing Monday, where she will likely be ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet and submit to weekly drug tests.
Lohan will remain on probation through August 2011.
