Kuwait, May 30: After the huge success of ‘Rocallica ’08’, ‘Boom ’09’ and ‘Lets Dance ’10’, Breakhouse Entertainment organized ‘Rise Up– Indian Dance Fest 2010’ recently at the Kuwait Fencing Society (Handball Auditorium), Dai’ya.
For the first time, seven prominent professional dance groups of Kuwait joined hands and performed together on one stage.
The participating groups were ‘Breakhouse’, ‘Sangam Dance Academy’, ‘Dance Benefit’, ‘Joas XLNC’, ‘Ballerines’, ‘Dancin’ Feat’ and ‘Dillusion’. It was a day of sharing, learning, performing, and dancing with friends and colleagues from across Kuwait.
This effort of bringing together the dance groups focussed on promoting the talents of the groups who displayed exclusive dancing styles.
The programme started with a formal welcome by compere Lloyd followed by lighting of the lamp.
A souvenir was released by Vargese and Gokul, representatives of the evening’s sponsors Gulf Bank and Al Bustan Al Kaleej Company. Chief guest Bader Al Marafie spoke a few words and wished the event well.
All the dance groups were honored with mementos. Stedison Charley, founder and instructor of Breakhouse, welcomed the audience.
