Dubai: Karnataka Sangha’s ‘Silver Jubilee Dance Cup’ on Jul 2

Dubai, Jun 1: Karnataka Sangha, as part of its silver jubilee celebrations, will conduct the dance competition ‘Silver Jubilee Dance Cup’ on Friday July 2 at Elite English School, Near Century Mall, Deira, Dubai, from 3 pm onwards.

The contest is open to all Kannadigas from UAE and all the community associations and groups form across the UAE will be participating in this event. 

A group should consist of a minimum five dancers and the maximum is nine dancers. The time allotted for the performance is five minutes and the language can be Kannada, Konkani, Tulu, Beary, or Kodava. Entry is free for all.

The objective of this dance competition is to bring out the dancing talent of Kannadigas in the UAE and the three finalists will get a chance to perform in the ‘Grand Rajyotsava Programme 2010’.  

Sahil of Radio Mirchi, Mangalore, will be the compere for this event and it is expected that some famous dancing stars from Karnataka will also be present.
