If the police have caught the cattle thief or illegal beef seller who has a huge quantity, I would have definitely appreciated the police. But here, the door to door seller had only 4 kgs. of beef. It show, this man is poor person, fighting for survival, during this recession time. I do agree, one kg or 1000 kg illegal sale of beef, is illegal. Police could have given a strict warning and allowed him to go; rather arrest, taking him to court etc. etc. It is always the helpless, powerless, poor people pay the big price.

Cow meat price always remained more than vegetable, rice and other grains. Hence, cow meat can not be considered as poor persons food.

Beef exporters are exporting only buffalo meat and if a poor person selling beef door to door, it becomes cow meat.......This kind of magic I see only in India under BJP rule so far.

You are right, we all should stop eating meat if we don't like to see them being killed, but people should get educated to change their diet habits, they should get their protein requirement per day which is 1gm per kilo of their body weight, but meat doesn't conform to PDCA score of 1 while some vegetarian food come closer to it & get absorbed fully unlike meat.
But we don't see they export beef & we are now in second spot in the world thanks to liberal policies of the present govt.!
The new vaccine is developed using Bovine Serum which is derived by cutting open a pregnant cow, pulling out its calf, after an incision to get to its heart they suck the serum from the calf, which is more torturous for both which isn't banned why? Does beef export industry gets the dead animal meat too? Questions we have but nobody will let us know,

My goodness... It's really sad process to obtain a vaccine for a human being to get protected from the virus. It really hurts a lot...how much animals have to go through the sufferings in the hands of human beings... Because no one is permanent.. Still we are greedy... I will take care of myself but will never take vaccine 😢

Sagada Udipi, sure we feel pain and cant see animals are suffering and die for us.Other side these animals are meant to support humans ,and same time for other animals as a food .Since Hindus worship them and provide milk to all, doesnt mean others should not use their meat as food. One day or othere these animals will be not able to give milk and who cares them what with them ?second many of us forget animals to worship and get aggressive when killed. But what about who kills human beings almost daily ,one gang goes back of other ,kill people with sword merciless?Where does this love go then?can one person get back the dead again? Is a life of a human being less worth than a animal?we are used to use animals as our food since generation so it will not change in future too.whoever the sanghs or religion says.

Dear Sagada, God has created this world which includes human being, animals, plants etc etc. God has not created human being who never faces hunger. Human being cannot live by consuming air only. He needs food and water also. God has created many things to be consumed by human being to live. If you say no living things shold be consumed, why are you eating vegetable and drinking cow milk. Do you think that plants have no life. If we wont consume plants and meat of certain animals, we will not be able to survive in the earth. God has wisely created this universe and everything is going on as planned by him. We are depended on one another. If you are so caring about living things, you should go to Himalaya and live there coz if you are walking on the road, you will definately step on small creatures like ants and they will die. In the Himalaya you may sit in one place and make remember God. Wish you all the best.

Sanjay anna why you close your eyes when your cow mata is slaughtered by so called Desh Bakths and export to all over world. There are no minorities in this business. All belongs to uppercaste. Do you have guts to question the ruling central govt. to stop this export. The present ruling party is just playing sentiments of majority community.

Meat exporters are abiding the law, but the guy in question in this news was not following law.
You have all the rights to challenge the existing laws and even bring the government of your choice.
But absolutely dont have the right to break the law.

Beef consuming by Indian in India is illegal, but consuming exported beef by export houses is legal. If cow is so sacred to you guys, why Govt is not ready to declare it as National Animal and complete stops beef export. Are you allowing beef export coz you get commission? which type of hypocrisy is this. why are you trying to implement your rules to all citizens. Indian constitution gives rights to all citizens to eat whatever he or she likes. None should be forced to eat certain food only. Show respect to Indian constitution. People who have no respect to Indian constitution should leave India.

The moment India becomes Hindu Nation, cow will be considered as national animal and beef consumption and export will stop. As of now, India is secular and you should note it before challenging anything.

If you say, beef export is for commission, then you must prove it. The beef export is happening in UPA and Congress regime also. Hence, if it is commission, all political parties are equally sinful in this.

When rule comes, it comes to all citizens. Some may not like it, but it is a country. Only Hindu family law is coded in India, why not others? Only temple money will be taken away by government, why not others? But you don't question them because it does not suit your preconceived theory.

Indian constitution is not a holy book. Time and again it got amended by all political parties based on present need.

For me your comment looks like full of hypocrisy and ignorant of many facts.

Sanjay, you should be ashamed. This so called seller had only 4 kgs beef, not 40 kg nor 400 kgs. When cows are not available for butcher houses, and all old or unwanted cows are in Gow shala, how come this poor labourer can find cows meat to sell. He might have purchased this meat from licensed beef stall.
India is number one Country in the world in beef export.

Whether it’s 4 kgs or 40 kgs, the accused was possessing the meat illegally for which he must be punished. I am sure that the police will collect the required information from this culprit regarding from where and how did he procure the meat. So, you guys just chill.

One who stole the cow is deffinitly a culprit, The hard workign, loan paying owner of the vehicle, who gave his vehicle for this act also becomes accused wether is knew the plot or not, the premisis owner who allowed the slaughter to happen will also hear the music of the law wether he knew this cow was bought or stolen. The innocent hard working boy who may have helped to clean the place after the act, clean the knives, packed the meat to do door to door delivery will also become accused even thoguh it might be his means of living. They all work hard, but illegaly.
