Mangalore, Jun 6: A fashion show was organized at Karavali College by the faculty and students of the fashion design department on Saturday June 5.

Ganesh Rao, founder chairman, Karavali Group of Colleges, and Latha G Rao, member, Karavali Group of Colleges, were present at the programme.

The costumes designed by the students of fashion design were exhibited in a ramp show. Speaking to press persons, Ganesh Rao said that this is the only platform where creativity and hard work in designing the costumes can be recognized and appreciated.

The ramp show consisted of a‘traditional round’ where the handiwork in the costumes could be seen which looked glamorous on the models. Next was the ‘creative round’ where non-wearable outfits were designed by the students making the models look like people from the future.

The ‘western round’ was third which made the students jump up from their seats when the models in blazers and other stylish outfits walked the ramp. Last was the ‘gown round’ where various kinds of gowns made the models look like princesses from different lands.
