McCartney Asked to Apologise for Bush Joke

Los Angeles, Jun 6 (IANS): Singer Paul McCartney has been asked by Republican John Boehner to apologise publicly for a joke he made at former US president George W. Bush during an appearance at the White House.

The former Beatles' star cracked a joke on the former president at an event at the White House where he received the "Gershwin Prize for Popular Song" from US President Barack Obama, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"After the last eight years, it's great to have a president who knows where the library is," McCartney said at the event.
