I am the Honorary President of Presidium Apartment Owners' Assn., Attavara, Mangalore. We had complained to Municipal Health authorities (in writing) about the seepage of drainage water from the neighbouring compound (next to Income Tax Office) into our well which is near the compound wall. The well water has a pungent smell and the approved laboratory has certified that the well water is not suitable for human consumption. Health Inspector & drainage dept people inspected the sight but no action has been taken so far. We have also informed the local Ward Councillor (Ranganath Kini). We have stopped using well water and buying water through lorry tankers for the use of our 65 flats which is costing us a lot. Now the sewage water has accumulated to a sizable amount along with rain water which is now become breading place for mosquitos. The water level in our well is also rising. The stagnation of drainage water will give raise to water borne diseases. Of late we have also addressed a letter to Dr.K.N. Vijayaprakash, Municipal Commissioner to take suitable action to protect the human health in the surrounding area. I shall appreciate if you could kindly arrange to send your reporter to the sight and publish the photographs so that concerned health authorities take urgent action to save the human lives. I am forced to write to Daijiworld as our request has become a cry in the wilderness.

    Thanking you for cooperation.
    Best Regards
    Hony. President (PAOA) 12/06/10.

Dear K N Vijayaprakash, You are the servant of the people. But what is your administration doing against the complaint of Ronald and Siddarth. Coconut Garden Road, Shiv Bagh First Cross are like "surfing" on the Himalayas. Even though ex-commissioner lives there. Tall claims, 100 crore, JCBs, Tipper, 24x7 etc. You talk of "innovative measures". A small complaint having major repercussions like water leakages in supply lines pending for the past one and a half year is not attended. Street lights burn during the day. What action plan are you talking about without finishing the existing ones. Thoooooo.

First, the residents of Mangalore were asked to bear with MCC for the concreting work once the concreting work is over, the drain work is started piling up all the debris and construction materials on the newly laid concrete roads to add insult to the injury, the God forbidden moribunds (useless engineers and workers of the MCC) have taken a fancy to drill big holes and cut the newly laid concrete at all places.. Shame  on MCC shame on Mangaloreans who are all tolerating the sham of the MCC engineers and officials who are digging (through compressors) the newly laid concrete at all places at their own sweet will what are the corporators doing what is opposition party doing?

Mr. K N Vijayaprakash, commissioner, Mangalore City Corporation (MCC),
We the residents of Kottara, Sankesha Cross 1, Near INFOSYS Complex, have been after your subordinates with petitions after petitions to lay Drainage facility in our Area, which is well within Corporation limits. Your Engineer says, that he will consider if it is Technically feasible he will try to sink the drainage. I have made a representation through our Mayor Mrs. Dugama too a few weeks back, & the concerned person (Mr. Anil Kumar) at Corporation repeatedly says he will survey the place, but he has not done anything till date. It has been years these things are going on & dragged.
If it is not possible for your Engineers to make it Technically possible, we the 10 residents concerned in the area are prepared to hire competent Engineers & contractors to do the needful & we shall hand over the bills to MCC. If it is agreeable to you. But without drainage it is becoming a hell for us. The rain is approaching & if our Pits over flow, it is going to pollute the ground water & our Wells. The Corporation has increased the Taxes 300 % & over for all. Hence it is not prudent MCC insist us pay full increased taxes and then again pay similar amounts every year to clear pits. Under the above circumstances, MCC must make arrangement to clear the pits at their cost & not at Law abiding Citizens at all, which is becoming a burden to Citizens with falling incomes.U may pl refer toyour Senr Eng.Shivanna,& Anilkumar
