Mangaluru: Local governments responsible to make villages healthy, beautiful

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 5: The people of the villages have chosen their representatives. Now, it is up to the elected representatives to prove that they deserve the trust reposed on them by the people and to meet drinking water needs, drains, providing employment under the employment guarantee scheme etc. The first priority for them should be to make clean drinking water available to the people.

A large number of people who lost their jobs abroad or other places in India due to COVID 19 have returned to their homes. They need help to improve their skills and bag jobs. Providing basic infrastructure to schools that have reopened after having been closed for several months, is also necessary.

As a large number of women have been elected this time, it is hoped that they would be able to provide facilities needed by the women and undertake child development. Providing hygienic toilets, community toilets, collecting taxes, ensuring that all the children undergo education etc are also important.

Disposal of waste, improving agricultural output, animal husbandry and rural industries to create new employments are very much necessary. District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, has promised to provide training and a good amount of grants to gram panchayats. If the panchayat members come together and work with the same intention to develop their villages, nothing is impossible.

With this speech one shouldnt hide behind their walls, but everyone should comeout of their caves to help each other.Same time everybody is responsible to see if everything is running smoothly or any problems are there.when one applies for some help or any work to be done ,file remains long on the desk. Many excuses from officials.why is this?without govts help even elected women too cant go forwards.officials too take interest to improve and not push the fault on women.we are always pushing the fault on others.

Local governments,MPs,MLAs and other concerned authorities are under long sleep for their unlimited period of quarantine. As long as they are receiving salary without any break, they don't bother to visit villages and make it healthy and beautiful. They are enjoying at tax payers money.
