Kateel said that this is a unique culture which has to be encouraged and Abdul Aziz has taken the initiative to protect and develop a rare culture which has a bond with Tulu and Kannada.
“Beary culture and language is getting buried with time and development of Latin culture. This programme shows the beauty of the culture and I wish that the six months of programmes will be more successful than expected”, he said.
Haji Abdul Aziz said that we learn all the cultures of the world but forget our own culture. “We forgot our own language and we are following Western culture. This also loosens the cultural bond between the people and we lose the taste of our own traditional life which was more enjoyable”, he added.
Kalkura said that we are becoming money-making machines and forgetting our culture, family ties, and religion. He said that this takes us away from our land and though we are in a unique land we are losing its culture and this programme is an eye opener for youths.
The programme had Beary songs, dance, ‘Katha Prasanga’ and many other events.
