Two young men from the undivided family of Manjappa, a farmer living near Kalikamba temple, was to be held on Friday at Gurudev Bhavan of Shivagiri temple, Barkur. The marriages of Pramod, son of Manjappa's brother-in-law, and Ganesh, son of Narasimha Poojary-Vimala couple, were to be solemnised with Jyothi and Sushma respectively.

The about to be married couples rode the newly acquired tractor to the marriage venue. The family members followed the tractor in a procession. After the marriage ceremony, both were led to the house in the same tractor.
