Mangaluru: Motorbikes collide - Youth crushed under bus wheels

Mangaluru, Jan 29: On Thursday January 28, two motorcycles collided head-on with each other near the government school at Thokoor near Haleangady in the taluk. One of the bikers fell to the ground and was crushed under the wheels of a private bus that was passing by at the time.

The victim of the accident was Mokshith (19) from Moodbidri. Rider of the other motorbike, Basavaraj, has been admitted into a private hospital at Mukka where he is recovering.

The bus was moving towards Kinnigoli from Haleangady when the tragedy happened. A case relating to the accident was registered in Surathkal traffic police station.

    Here no Traffic control and roads are horrible. And at the same time these bikes manufacturers are not manufacturing the bikes which suits for our roads and Traffic conditions. They make the design of the bike that to attract the youngster.

    Daily routine, two wheelers and highways causalities !!! We in Mumbai, do not have this daily deaths, on our roads, despite massive, heavy traffic .... RIP !!!

    I am sure this is because of over speeding ,no control.
    There should be strickt rules for 2 wheelers .

    Biggest problem driving with out helmet. Next alcohol is the main weapon which encourage our youngsters to ride roughly. Media do not highlight this points.

    Not true it is all about maturity. There are ppl who are above 25 who drive or ride recklessly. So, don't say under 25. Even I'm under 25, I go on long rides. I drive/ride responsibly.
