Mangaluru: Kamath Opticals launches district's first mobile eye screening unit

Mangaluru, Jan 31: City's renowned and leading optical showroom Kamath Opticals for the first time in the history of the undivided district on Sunday, January 31 launched its new venture, a mobile eye screening unit with advanced computerised eye test equipment.

Dr UR Shenoy along with other dignitaries launched the mobile eye screening unit.

The mobile eye unit/van consists of an expert optometrist, with advanced optical frames and lenses available at an affordable price. The mobile unit will travel as per the demand of the people in the city and throughout the district to provide service at the doorstep of the customers. The mobile unit will provide optical frames, goggles and contact lenses of various brands. To avail of this service, customers can contact - 7204606578.



Kamath Opticals has four branches across the city -- Hampankatta, Bunts Hostel, Dongerkery and Suratkal.

History of Kamath Opticals

Originated in 1967 as a brainchild of M Raya Kamath and M Rama Kamath, the firm first developed an 'in-house' doctor facility in 1998. Since time immemorial, Kamath Opticals has been strongly reigning the market of optical lenses and is a trail-blazer in opening a 'contact lens clinic'. In the year 2008, Kamath Opticals also launched a new showroom at Bunts Hostel Circle mainly to furnish branded sunglasses.
